Cheap and Easy Matchbox Valentines

These are so cute and simple!

I got the idea from inchmark last year, but saved it for later.

Or, I was too much of a procrastinator to do it last year, so I saved it for later.

I think that last statement is more accurate.

But instead of covering with paper, where you have to cut to size,
and glue, and coordinate colors,
I had a brilliant (and much easier) idea!!

I can't remember exactly how much these were,
but you get a pack of 10 for a little over 1 dollar.

I snapped the matchboxes open,

Flipped them inside out, and re-glued them together.

Then, I used some stickers from the dollar bins at Target,

And stuck them on.

Lauren is in Fifth Grade, so I think this is her last year she will be exchanging Valentines.

I showed them to her, and she is onboard.

Not juvenile at all.  She's pretty cool, so no frilly stuff here.

I filled them with some with candy, and some with cute little erasers.

Lauren is making magnets to put in them too.

I think they are awesome.

Happy Valentines Day!!
