A few words about my boy

This is my boy.  He is 12 today.  A perfect time to give him some love.  He is very smart, though, a little unfocused at times, which I am pretty sure almost all 12 year old boys are.  He loves Formula One racing.  Never heard of it?  Big shocker.  I hadn't either until last year.  But he loves it, and has gotten us hooked.  Well, most of us anyway  (NOT Lauren).  He loves Soccer, loves playing it, loves watching it, and loves playing in on his PlayStation.  He loves BBC's Top Gear, loves BBC Radio 1 in the car, and sometimes speaks in a British Accent.  I am pretty sure he would fit in well in any European country.  He also knows nearly all the Anthems of every country in the world, and wants to learn them on the Trombone and also Piano.  He has never had a piano lesson, and I am pretty sure he has perfect pitch and plays very well by ear.
He's a great kid.  Now if we could just get him to be nice to his sister...

Marley and Me

Kids are back in school.  Tim is back to work.  Lots of stuff to do.

We saw Marley and Me yesterday.  Man, I live with a bunch of crybabies.  Seriously, they were all bawling.  All three of them.  Sheesh.  The movie was a bit condensed, but pretty good, and the soundtrack was quite random.  There was a covered Nirvana song, B-52′s, and then, Dennis Wilson’s “River”  from Pacific Ocean Blue.  Crazy.

I actually liked Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson, and I sometimes don’t.  The little girl was played by a kid from All My Children, and I was so hoping that the dog trainer was not Kathleen Turner, but she was.  

Man, she has really aged, but the voice is the same.  Overall, I liked it, but I am a sucker for dogs.  I loved the book, and it had enough little surprises to keep me happy.  Oh, and that house in Pennsylvania was amazing.  Almost makes me want to move back North.  Yeah, not a chance on that one.  Forget I just said that.
